We collect what we need to send you an order and answer your questions. Nothing more, and we do not sell any of it.
What we collect
- Your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number when you order
- What you ordered and what you paid
- Anything you write to us in an email or say to us on the phone
- Serial numbers of items you register or claim warranty on
- Basic information about how the site is used, such as which pages were viewed and roughly where the visit came from
What we do not hold
We never see or store your full card number. Payments go through Shopify Payments and the other providers offered at checkout. They take the card details directly and we only get back a confirmation and the last four digits.
Why we hold it
- To pack the order and give the carrier an address
- To email you a confirmation and a tracking number
- To answer a question or handle a return or a warranty claim
- To keep the tax and sales records the law requires
- To reach you quickly if a batch of cells is ever recalled
- To spot fraudulent orders before they ship
That recall point is the one that matters most here. If a supplier ever recalls a cell batch, we need to be able to contact everyone who bought from it, which is why order records stay linked to serial numbers.
Who else sees it
- Shopify, which runs the store and holds the order records
- The payment provider you choose at checkout
- The carrier, who gets the name, address and phone number
- Our email provider, so confirmations and replies reach you
We do not sell your details, rent them, or hand them to anyone for advertising. The only other time we would disclose anything is if a court or a government agency required it by law, or if a safety regulator needed the contact list for a recall.
Marketing email
We only email you about products if you tick the box asking for it, and every one of those emails has a working unsubscribe link. Order confirmations, shipping notices, safety notices and replies to your own questions are not marketing and keep coming either way.
Cookies
The store uses cookies to keep your basket from emptying between pages, to remember you are signed in, and to count visits so we know which pages are useful. You can block or clear them in your browser. If you block them the basket will not hold anything.
Your rights in California
We are a California business and California residents have specific rights under state law. You can ask us what categories of personal information we have collected about you, ask for a copy, ask us to delete it, and ask us not to sell or share it. We do not sell or share personal information, so that last one is already the case. We will never treat you differently for asking.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years because tax rules require it. Warranty and serial number records are kept for the length of the warranty plus two years. Marketing contacts are removed as soon as you unsubscribe. Email conversations are kept for two years and then deleted.
Your choices
Write to us and you can ask to see what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete what we are not legally required to keep, or stop marketing. We reply within thirty days and there is no charge.
Children
The store is not meant for children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect anything about them. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top. If the change is significant and you have an account, we email you about it.
